DIY Potting Mix Save $$ on Potting Soil

Like container gardening? Potting mix cost making you think twice about a container garden? Cost of bags of potting mix is EXPENSIVE! You can save money by making your own. Here's my basic recipe for DIY container soils! I'm using partially decomposed leaves from the compost pile to take up a little space in my containers. I purchased vermiculite, peat moss, and a little bit of compost, to mix up my own container soil.
