NATO chief says Sweden’s accession is within reach as alliance prepares for next week’s summit

During a press briefing at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium Thursday, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said an agreement to ratify Sweden’s NATO accession is within reach. Stoltenberg said Sweden has delivered on the needed commitments to join NATO by introducing new anti-terrorist legislation to its constitution and removing restrictions on firearms exports to Turkey.
