Justices Ruled in Favor of Shielding Vaccine Makers from Injury Lawsuits to 'Guarantee Steady Supplies of Vaccine'

"There is a real tradeoff here. If the family wins, vaccine makers will be sued in state courts and face potential liability that could tie them up for years...But if Wyeth wins...children who have suffered significant or catastrophic injuries will have no remedy...[Wyeth's Council Kathleen] Sullivan pointed out that there are 5,000 autism vaccine-related cases in the vaccine court."
