A Colombian sniffer dog helps his army handlers detect huge quantities of narcotics and he’s even been provided with 24-hour protection for his own safety, following a number of threats on his life.

The seven-year-old Labrador Retriever was seen in training at a military base in Cajamarca, examining vehicles and luggage at a checkpoint alongside soldiers. Lieutenant Colonel Nestor Fabian Castellanos has said that the Labrador has great sense of smell, and he has already helped officers to seize more than 1.5 million doses [of marijuana], which would have ended up on the streets and used by children in Colombia.

What can we say – very good boys deserve very good protection, too!
