Cooking with my nephew Luca: LYONERKUCHEN - echt saarländisch!// Happy Tuesday everyone, Are you looking for a delicious and authentic 'saarländisch' dish? Look no further than Lyonerkuchen! In today's video my nephew and Jörg's godson Luca and I are making this savory sausage cake from scratch, we're taking you shopping with us and are preparing Lyonerkuchen and lamb's lettuce in Luca's lovely flat in Saarland, Germany. RECIPE LYONERKUCHEN:

Ingredients
500g Lyoner
puff pastry (we used gluten free one)
1 onion
1 leek
100g bacon
4 eggs
250ml cream
150g grated cheese like gouda
rapeseed oil
salt
pepper
nutmeg
paprika

Method
Slice the onion and the leek.
Cut the Lyoner in about 1cm thick cubes. Fry the Lyoner and the bacon, add the onion and leek. Then put aside and let it cool down.
Whisk eggs and cream and add the Lyoner-onion mixture. Finally season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and paprika. Finally add the grated cheese.
Grease a springform and put some baking paper on top. Add all of the mixture into the springform and put into the oven for about 40-45 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

SALAT DRESSING:

Ingredients
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
5 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
4 tablespoons olive oil
salt

Mix everything together and pour over salad.
