Corporate Recruiters VS Agency Recuiters

Corporate recruiters are employed directly by the companies that are looking to hire. They have requisitions and job as they place and when applications come in, they work through those, and reach out to Candidate that have the right skill set.

Agency recruiters contract with these companies to work outside of their internal recruiting staff “if they have them.” An agency is sometimes brought on when they’re needing expertise or help with specific positions that have been difficult to find.

Most agency recruiters will reach directly out to someone in which they are called a “headhunter.” Sometimes these candidates can be called passive or active.

Passive candidates are the ones that are not actively looking for a job when you reach out to them, and they expressed interest at that time. Active candidates are ones that are open to new opportunities and may be applying to jobs in interviewing already.
