The 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa Keeps Going Strong
The third generation of the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa, which was introduced in 2022, hasn’t changed for year 2, but that’s not a bad thing – the ‘Refined Beast’ was a hit with riders all across the board. Since its initial release in 1999, the Hayabusa has remained popular among speed addicts everywhere thanks to its huge horsepower and precise aerodynamics.
The flagship of the Suzuki 2023 model lineup has a lot to offer – its 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline-four produces a staggering 190hp and 110 lb-ft. Thanks to those numbers, the Hayabusa can do 0-60 in about 3.2 seconds. All of that power is brought to a stop with ease by a pair of Brembo Stylema Front brake callipers paired with two 320mm discs – all tied into Suzuki’s Motion Track ABS.
While the Hayabusa’s power isn’t for the faint of heart, the team at Suzuki has paired the bike with a number of electronic aids that help to make it a very approachable weapon. Thanks to the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), this Japanese-made bike comes standard with features like a launch control system, selectable 10-level anti-lift system, a bi-directional quick-shifter, an engine braking control system, and a cruise control system capable of taking you to 125MPH (200 KM/H). The Hayabusa also comes with A 6-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, which measures pitch, roll, and yaw movement in order to make the most of the S.I.R.S. package while in motion.
The 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa features a set of aerodynamic fairings specifically designed for maximum speed and performance. The nose has a pair of the famous Suzuki Ram Air Direct (SRAD) ducts sitting neatly next to a stacked LED low beam and projector high beam headlight. In the United States, the 2023 Hayabusa is available in a trio of two-tone colour schemes – Pearl Vigor Blue & Pearl Brilliant White, Metallic Matte Black & Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Thunder Gray & Candy Darning Red. In Canada, the bike is only available in the Blue/White and Gloss Black/Matte Black colourways.
