The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has released bodycam footage from a June 24th arrest incident that has led to the opening of a use-of-force investigation. The bodycam video shows officers detaining a man while a woman records the arrest on her phone. A deputy is then seen pushing the woman to the ground. The deputy is seen pepper spraying the woman as she argues with him. As the woman is handcuffed, she tells the officer she can’t see anything without her glasses. The detained man is later heard telling the officer that the woman has cancer. The LASD told CBS that the pair matched the description of robbery suspects given by store security in calls placed to 911. Both deputies have been reassigned from field duty pending further administrative review, CBS reported. Credit: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department via Storyful
