'The Maverick Veteran' Simon Bean served in Germany, Northern Ireland, First and Second Gulf War in Iraq, served in Iraq, and was given an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II.

On July 01, concerned locals of Bowthorpe and neighbouring villages took to the streets against the Migrant Hotels being introduced throughout Norwich, specifically one of which is the Best Western Brook Hotel. The protest also included people who had travelled long distances in support, from places such as Wales and Colchester.
This protest came after many reports from locals of verbal and sexual harassment, children being shoved over, and young women being demanded for sex, all claimed to be perpetrated by the recent 'Asylum Seekers' which have recently crossed the English Channel. The crime extends further to small, petty crimes, such as stealing, or laying on roads. All-in-all, mayhem has now developed inside the little village of Bowthorpe - and locals want this to change.

This cause was expectedly met with backlash from groups such as Stand Up To Racism Norwich, with lots of heckling, including the unforgettable chants of, "Refugees Are Welcome Here."
