Very impressed! This thing is a work horse! Please note, dethatching your yard is a LOT of work.
After you run this machine, you’ll have to rake up the dead grass and discard it.If your yard is full of small twigs and small rocks like mine, it makes it a little more challenging/time consuming, but gets the job done and end result is worth it.
Took me 30 to dethatch and a little over an 1 hour to rake up the dead grass.A few recommendations to compliment this purchase are:(1) Pair ReLeaf Leaf Scoops - they look ridiculous but work brilliantly, you will not regret it!

This thing works great for the advertised dethatching, but also works for over seeding prep and dollar weeds. My yard has such a problem with dollar weeds.
This machine allows me to "mow" them while doing relatively no damage to the grass around it. Of course the roots are still alive underneath the soil and the weeds will grow back, but the more times you knock them down the weaker they become.
Its great to have a big section of dollar weeds and 15 minutes later to have none. An alternative way to kill dollar weeds would be to use a propane torch, but I have not tried that out yet.
Last week I new nothing about thatch, until I stumbled a Facebook post about awesome random things on Amazon.
Ive been dealing with dead grass in my house for 4 years, and obviously I know one of the main culprits i mean look at all the dead grass and thats just my front yard the back is worse cause it gets more direct sun, but thatll be a different day.
I went over it twice with my bag on my mower and got a about 85% of the dead grass up. Your choice if you want to rake it or even use a leaf blower lol.
I knew I needed to dethatch the front lawn but I checked on rental prices and when I considered this is something that needs to be done every year, this purchase made a lot of sense.
It really worked well. Our lawn was browning out because of of the deep thatch , but after using the machine and doing some aeration with a simple pitch fork m the lawn has never looked better.
Money well spent. This thing is a beast. Assembly took 3 minutes. Works great, as good as the machines Ive been renting for years. I wish I had purchased this thing years ago.
