DOG ADOPTED BABY CHICKENS AFTER MOM DIED
The GQF Sportsman 1502 Incubator: A Hero for Haven's Homestead
Haven's Homestead is thrilled to announce that we will be conducting our first hatch in our brand new GQF Sportsman 1502 incubator on January 24th! This is a momentous occasion for us as we have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this state-of-the-art incubator.
We are excited to be partnering with a fellow farm to hatch out some of their eggs in return for half the chicks that hatch. This is a great opportunity for us to expand our reach and make connections with other farmers and backyard breeders who need extra incubator space.
On January 24th, we will be hatching eggs for our neighbor farm as well as a mixture of eggs from our own farm. We have a diverse collection of eggs including White Leghorns, Brown Leghorns, Green Easter Eggers and Blue Easter Eggers. Our Black Copper Maran‘s and Guineas have yet to lay, but we’re hopeful we might get one egg before the 24th. 🙏🏻 We have over 30 of our own eggs ready for the incubator and we are eagerly anticipating the hatch rate for this first time.
One of the standout features of the Sportsman 1502 is its clear door, which allows you to easily view the eggs as they incubate without disturbing the environment. It also comes with an accurate digital thermostat with LCD display of temperature and humidity, and an on-board computer that monitors the systems and environment every second to keep itself updated, and share the data with you.
The incubator also includes electronic egg turning control, audio/visual indicators, a standard easy view door, and three automatically turned racks. Additionally, it has a hatching tray located at the bottom of the incubator, making it a complete incubator and hatcher. This means that if you are just getting started with a small flock, you only need this one incubator.
Constructed from high-strength plastic board, the Sportsman 1502 is well insulated, quieter, and easier to clean. Each unit is hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen and tested for a full 24 hours for proper operation and calibration.
With a thermostat operating range between 60 and 103 degrees F, and a total capacity of 1368 quail eggs, 354 pheasant eggs, 270 chicken eggs, 198 turkey or duck eggs, and 36-45 larger eggs such as goose, peafowl, and emu, this incubator is able to accommodate a wide range of eggs. Hatching capacity is limited to the hatching drawer which is approximately 72 medium-size or 250 quail size eggs at a time.
Measuring 301/4” front to back, 153/4” wide, and 313/4” high, the GQF Sportsman 1502 is a top-of-the-line incubator that is sure to improve the efficiency and success rate of our hatches. We are excited to add this high-quality piece of equipment to our farm operations.
We have meticulously set the incubator to the optimal temperature and humidity levels, and the automatic egg turners are sanitized and ready to be loaded. They will work tirelessly to ensure that the eggs are rotated throughout the incubation process. The clear door of the incubator allows us to easily monitor the eggs over the 21 days without disturbing the environment.
As we wait for the hatch day to arrive, we can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We are confident that the GQF Sportsman 1502 incubator will greatly improve our hatch rate and we are looking forward to seeing the results of our first hatch on January 24th. We are also excited about the possibility of partnering with anyone in northern Mississippi, so please reach out to us! Haven's Homestead is proud to introduce the GQF Sportsman 1502 incubator to our farm. This high-quality incubator boasts a number of advanced features that make it the perfect choice for hatching our precious eggs.
