This knife has been on my hip for few years now not sure how many, but even after using it as a screw driver several times/cranking old machines, mobile light plates, and generators.
I can still sharpen this bad boy up to shave with. Its a little bit of a tough sharpen, but thats to be expected with S30V. Had a benchmade 940 (I believe theyre called) prior to this knife, and it just didnt perform cutting task as well as this knife does.
Poking/stabbing into material is superior, and cutting through things like carpet or thick plastic is way easier with the blade shape of the spiderco IMO.
Great blade and sees use daily!
This knife is exactly what I was looking for. I owned a PM2, but it had to long of blade for legal carry in my state. Just be aware that the torx screws do not have Loctite on them.
I was open and closing a few times when a torx screw went flying across the room.
Love love love this knife! This is my new EDC I love the weight smoothness action everything. My benchmade bug out is in the drawer now. I think I’m a Spyderco dude for life now
This knife supports four methods of opening. Three of them are so fun, that you can accidentally cut someone by opening too casually. The blade steel is exceltionally high quality and high carbon.
The square-ish spine appears to be suited for use with a ferrocerium rod, something I look forward to testing. If it does, the black color will hide well marks from ferro rod use.
