NYC City Council Candidates Jonathan Rinaldi and Samantha Zherka Slam Repub and Med Freedom Leaders

On June 29, 2023, the Central Queens Republican Club held a "June 27 Primary Candidates and Leaders" meeting following the June 27 primary election for New York City Council seats. Candidates who were on the ballot and party leaders from the Republican, Conservative, and Medical Freedom parties spoke and answered questions at the event. District 29 candidate Danniel Maio led the meeting.

Candidates Jonathan Rinaldi (District 24) and Samantha Zherka (District 13) voiced strong criticism of party leaders, with Rinaldi getting into a heated exchange with Medical Freedom Party organizer Steve Speer and Zherka taking aim at Bronx Republican Party Chairman Mike Rendino.
