....Weekly Garden Update....02/07/23

....the tree spinach and chard behind the greenhouse are doing well, but the plot needs weeding a bit, parsnip, sprout and leek seedlings in the greenhouse along with peppers planted on the floor and a chilli plant on the rack....gherkins and cucumbers really going mad (we've had some off this week) and carrots and onions coming along nicely too in the baths....broccoli seed pods are forming nicely and I'm going to try a second crop later in the year as the first one was a complete failure....loads of tomatoes in the little greenhouse, and outside, but we are still waiting for them to ripen....spuds really doing well in the bags and I planted another six bags this week making 42 bags in total....in the main bed, the potato bags are nearly ready so I cropped one bag this week and got a great haul after only 80 days (sorry, forgot to film the spuds I pulled), also got parsnips, spearmint, rocket (going to seed), lettuce (a bit past it's best) chives, radishes and more onions (some flowering nicely)....all the herbs on the porch, and finally cauliflower (not doing very well), kale, leeks and beetroot in the cage behind the solar panels....also got a couple of IBC tanks to increase our water storage and a new roof on the lean-too this week (which I also forgot to film 😂)....and I mowed the grass (again)....
