At least 10 Sub County Chiefs in Alebtong district will face disciplinary action after they failed to turn up for the official launch of Parish Revolving Fund, the third pillar of PDM.
Only four out of fourteen invited sub county chiefs turned up for the launch. Presiding over the launch, Government Chief Whip tasked the Chief Administrative Officer to prevail over the errant officers
Ten sub county chiefs in Alebtong district are in trouble for snubbing the launch of parish revolving fund, the third pillar of PDM. A role call was done at the launch and shocking only four out fourteen invited sub county chiefs were present. The Government chief Whip who was presiding over the disbursement of this fund tasked the CAO to prevail over these errant officers.
Following the low approvals, Obua issued a one-month ultimatum for clearance of all eligible beneficiaries
At the launch, 19 out of 33,000 households were cleared to access the fund with majority still pending approval
Approved beneficiaries are paid directly to their account and loan payment commences after a grace period of two years
Alebtong District received 6.9bn under Parish Development Model to benefit the 69 parish SAACOs. According to the program, a hundred million will be channeled to every parish for the next four years.
