You've been lied to about safety matches!

Always looking for strike anywhere matches? You might have some and don't even know it. I've tested many strike on box and safety matches and have found that most will strike on any rough dry surface like rusty steel, rough laminate, and smooth concrete... there are some surfaces that strike anywhere will do much better, but that's mostly due to the little bit of powdered glass on the tip that helps generate friction.
