Aborigines get Goat Island, $43m to spend on ‘spiritual’ ‘reconciliation’ moment

In Australia, the NSW government is planning to give Goat Island to the Aborigines, committing to spend $43m to fix it up. Some aborigines calling it a spiritual moment, others saying it pushes towards reconciliation.

If we are returning this island to some of the aboriginals, why don’t we give them the whole thing, let’s go back to our land where we belong. Oh hang on the land of our ancestors was someone else’s land. Guess we’ll have to make some new land somewhere in the Pacific.

This spiritual moment is imposing a new state religion of the dream time spirits. If you don’t believe that this land was made by Aboriginal spirits you’ll be cancelled next.

Can’t they teach people about previous cultures without giving them an island to squander.
