ডাহুক (বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম: Amaurornis phoenicurus), ডাইক, পানপায়রা বা ধলাবুক ডাহুক Rallidae (রেলিডি) গোত্র বা পরিবারের অন্তর্ভুক্ত Amaurornis (আমুরর্নিস) গণের অন্তর্গত মাঝারি আকৃতির একটি পাখি।পাখিটি বাংলাদেশ, ভারত ছাড়াও দক্ষিণ ও দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব এশিয়ার বিভিন্ন দেশে দেখা যায়।এটি সাধারণত মাঠের ভিতরে ডিম পারে।
এর দেহ কালচে এবং মুখমণ্ডল, গলা, বুক ও পেট সম্পূর্ণ সাদা। অন্যসব ঝিল্লির তুলনায় এরা বেশ সাহসী। ফলে মানববসতির আশেপাশে এদের প্রায়ই দেখা যায়। স্বভাবে এরা ক্রেপাসকুলার। প্রজননকালীন সময়ে বর্ষার প্রথম বৃষ্টিতে এরা উচ্চস্বরে বার বার ডাকে।
ডাহুকের বৈজ্ঞানিক নামের অর্থ লাললেজী কালো পাখি (গ্রিক: amauros = কালচে, ornis = পাখি; লাতিন: phoenicurus = লাল লেজের গির্দি)। সারা পৃথিবীতে এক বিশাল এলাকা জুড়ে এরা বিস্তৃত, প্রায় ৮৩ লক্ষ ৪০ হাজার বর্গ কিলোমিটার এলাকা জুড়ে এদের আবাস।আই. ইউ. সি. এন. এই প্রজাতিটিকে ন্যূনতম বিপদগ্রস্ত বলে ঘোষণা করেছে।বাংলাদেশের বন্যপ্রাণী আইনে এ প্রজাতিটিকে সংরক্ষিত ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে .

Breasted Water Bird ( scientific name: Amaurornis phoenicurus), dyke, Panpaira or Dhlabuk , Breasted water bird is a medium-sized bird belonging to the genus Amaurornis (Amurornis) belonging to the family Rallidae. The bird is found in Bangladesh, India, and various countries in South and Southeast Asia. It usually lays its eggs inside the field.
Its body is black and its face, throat, chest and belly are completely white. They are quite bold compared to other membranes. As a result, they are often seen around human settlements. They are crepuscular in nature. During the breeding season, they call loudly again and again during the first rains of the monsoon.
The scientific name of dahuk means red-tailed blackbird (Greek: amauros = black, ornis = bird; Latin: phoenicurus = red-tailed heron). They are spread over a large area all over the world; their habitat covers an area of about 83 lakh 40 thousand square kilometers. U. C. N. This species has been declared as least endangered. This species has been declared protected under the Wildlife Act of Bangladesh.
