Justice Jackson Gets Schooled by Justice Thomas Over Race-Based School Admissions

On Thursday, the US Supreme Court handed down a ruling on racial preferences in college admissions, a racist practice that has harmed Asian students and other racial groups who were discriminated against because of their race.

Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Joe Biden‘s Supreme Court nominee, spoke out strongly in her dissent against Thursday’s ruling.

Justice Clarence Thomas addressed Justice Jackson’s dissent in a concurring opinion he wrote. While acknowledging that “our society is not, and has never been, colorblind,” he said that the Constitution is.

Thomas nailed Jackson's inability to understand that government-sanctioned racism is always wrong. Not some of the time, but always.
