Episode 132 - Oak-Like Strength and Willow Flexibility
Andrew's coach compared the protagonist to an oak tree, noting that he had an incredible strength but could benefit from having a bit more flexibility like a willow. The oak tree's strength comes from its vertical taproot connecting it to the source which allows for a horizontal root system four to seven times larger than the foliage. It is resilient and able to withstand storms and pests/diseases. The coach suggested the protagonist could benefit from being more like a willow, being flexible but not breaking.

I had an incredible coach once who taught me about the strength of an oak tree and how it applies to life. He said I have that same strength, but also the opportunity to be more like a willow - to bend when needed, but not break. #OaklikeStrength #WillowPower

this analogy
and then
he taught me about

in its longevity

that allows it
to grow out

the foliage at the top of the tree
And he said
that oak like strength
is one of the hardest woods
It never comes
down in a storm
It has an incredible
defense system
to ward off any pests
or any diseases
And so
it's just resilient
And he said
you show up that way
and there's an opportunity
free to be more
like a willow
as well
to bend
when needed
but not break
