World War I Actions, 1914-1918

This silent film includes footage from several different sources. It shows trench warfare on Germany's two fronts, and artillery, tanks, airplanes, and cavalry in action. Notable scenes include the Kaiser inspecting German troops and Gen. von Hindenburg reviewing a parade in Berlin, Red Cross personnel treating Germans wounded in France, German submarines battling British Q-boats, Emperor Francis Joseph reviewing a parade in Vienna, Archduke Francis Ferdinand's funeral, and the Lusitania leaving a New York port, as well as its wreckage on the Irish coast.
