1 Thessalonians 03: Paul's Service to the Thessalonians Despite Opposition 1 Thess 2:1-12

Hi SBC Family and Friends,

I hope you are enjoying the Acts & Paul's Epistles series. Paul was attentive to the needs and issues of the churches he established on his missionary journeys.

With the Thessalonians he has taught us the importance of Thanking God for His work in the lives of believers. He also taught us the importance of Imitating Paul and the Lord so as to be a testimony to others, including how we turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, and to wait expectantly for His son from heaven to come and rapture us away from the wrath to come in the day of the LORD.

So many people are frustrated with the way our country and the world are going. They don't have any hope. The Thessalonians did have hope (1 Thess 1:3). We have hope too! He is coming for us soon. We wait with great expectation for His rapture rescue. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to share the gospel with others so they can believe and escape with us before the wrath comes (1 Thess 5:3). Encourage one another with these words, and look up, our salvation draws near. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation...(1 Thess 5:9).
