The news has generated significant attention and raises questions about the reasons behind their departure.

An inside source from Anheuser-Busch confirmed through text messages obtained by the Daily Caller that Group Vice President for Marketing Daniel Blake and Bud Light Marketing Vice President Alissa Heinerscheid are no longer associated with the company.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that the executives are “gone gone” and explained that the company used the term “leave of absence” instead of “fired” to avoid potential legal complications.

According to the source, company leadership had in-person conversations with wholesalers to inform them that both Blake and Heinerscheid were permanently removed from their positions. The decision was apparently prompted by concerns raised by wholesalers, who would have expressed discontent if the marketing executives had not been removed.

The source also acknowledged that while Daniel Blake was highly regarded, he was caught in the crossfire due to his involvement in hiring Heinerscheid.

Bud Light has faced substantial criticism and experienced a decline in sales after a boycott initiated when transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney showcased a personalized beer can featuring their face. Additionally, Bud Light released a can featuring a rainbow design and the slogan “celebrate everyone’s identity,” with various pronouns printed on the bottle. Heinerscheid, who had promoted Bud Light’s new marketing approach, had earlier called for the brand to shed its “fratty” image and outdated humor.

Leaked images obtained by the Daily Caller in April showed Heinerscheid engaging in behavior similar to what she had criticized, including holding condoms up to her mouth at a Harvard social club event. Following the controversy, Heinerscheid took a leave of absence, with the company expressing support for her decision.

Subsequently, Daniel Blake also opted for a leave of absence. However, specific details regarding their departure and employment status remain undisclosed, as Anheuser-Busch has refrained from providing additional information.
