Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

Greek word of the day- ἀποστολή apostolḗ, ap-os-tol-ay'; from G649; commission, i.e. (specially) apostolate:—apostleship.

1Co 9:2

If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord

"PRIDE BRINGS YOU DOWN"

Proverbs 29:23- "A person's pride will humble him, but a humble spirit will gain honor."

From my Orthodox Study Bible- Proverbs 29:23: "Arrogance humbles a man, But the Lord supports the humble-minded with glory."

The Lord always allows a man's "ARROGANCE" ("PRIDE") to humble him, and so this is done, if possible, he might learn humility. But the Lord only "SUPPORTS THE HUMBLE-MINDED" with the "GLORY" of His virtues.

"PRIDE"- in Hebrew- גַּאֲוָה gaʼăvâh, gah-av-aw'; from H1342; arrogance or majesty; by implication, (concretely) ornament:—excellency, haughtiness, highness, pride, proudly, swelling.

"Pride is your relentless enemy. If you succumb to its influence, there will be consequences." (Experiencing God Devotional "DAY BY DAY", page 179).

Humility, on the other hand, is pleasing to God and places your life in a position where God will honor you. If pride has crept into some areas of your life, ask God to give you victory over it before it robs you of God's will for you." (Experiencing God Devotional "DAY BY DAY, Page 179).

The opposite of being arrogant and prideful is being humble , merciful and compassionate. When I go to confession, I always ask the Lord to help me not to be spiritually arrogant, but instead seek humility, mercy and compassion to all I encounter.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
