My 40 Day Fast - Day 1 MHM Ep. 1

This video begins a journey of a 40 day fast. Jesus fasted for 40 days, so there must have been a reason for it. We now know there are a lot of physical benefits to fasting, and today I am going to find out what those benefits are in my own body, mind and spirit. The body goes into autophagy after about 3 days, a condition during which the body starts looking for whatever it can consume. Beside consuming excess stored fat, it also breaks down weak or old cells to recycle into new cells.

It is not just the physical or carnal benefits we get from fasting. We also strengthen the spiritual connect to our creator Father God through His Holy Spirit. One video I watch said that when Christian do this, at one point they recognize what happens and say, "That's Holy Spirit." This is the reason for my quest starting today.
