A resolution which allows students of all ages to learn about topics related to gender identity and sexual orientation is sparking debate in a Minnesota school district. Under the resolution, ISD 279 teachers are encouraged to, among other things, provide students with curriculum to "honor and respect" the LGBTQ+ community. Some parents in the district feel those discussions should be left up to them instead.
