Sources tell Page Six that "The Bear's" heartthrob Jeremy Allen White felt "blinded" by his estranged spouse Addison Timlin's post about being a "single mom". White, 32 years old, stars in the second season of the Hulu hit that debuted on Thursday. He won a Golden Globe award for the first season. He's dealing with the pain of his divorce behind the scenes. Timlin, a 31-year-old actress from "Californication", filed for divorce after just three years of marriage in May. She did not give any reason for the divorce. Friends claim that he did not cheat and suggest his Chicago filming schedule put pressure on their relationship. In an Instagram post for Mother's Day she described herself as a single mom, while describing the difficulties of raising her children without having a "witness by her side" and posting pictures of their young children. "Being a mom alone is not what I imagined." Timlin wrote: "It is so f****** hard." It is covered in s--- crying on the ground, kicking you in the shins and screaming without sound. She updated her caption hours later to read "Co-parenting is not what I pictured," as followers picked up quickly on her emotional message. One said: "There's a difference between a single mother and a mom who is single." In her divorce petition, Timlin requested primary physical custody for their daughters Ezer, 4 and Dolores (2 years old), and that the court award White visitation. Page Six has seen court documents that show White's response last week was to ask for joint custody. Sources who know the couple confirm that White was "blindsided by the Mother's Day Instagram post": "Addison altered her Instagram post because she felt it wasn't accurate. Many people were like, 'What're you talking about?' "Jeremy was not in control of where he filmed." He filmed "The Bear" in Chicago, and whenever he could he would come home. He loves his daughters and is very involved with their lives. The post was not scorched earth, but it was passive-aggressive, and painted Jeremy as a bad absent father. Others began to doubt Jeremy's involvement and support. It's obvious why he was offended by that, and it makes sense that his team is denying that. It's not a good look. Addison has requested primary physical custody for Jeremy and for him to have visitation, while Jeremy has asked for joint legal custody. It is clear that Jeremy wants to be involved.
