Bandera Mountain Solo Hike - Amputee Outdoors #solohiking #pnw #hiking

One of the harder hikes I've done. Starts out easy along an old logging dirt road that nature has partially reclaimed. In the video, you'll see where the trail branches off and starts becoming a little more challenging. At the juncture of Mason Lake and Bandera Mountain, the trail becomes significantly more challenging. For every two feet on the trail, you gain one foot of elevation. Once I cleared the cloud cover, the views of Mt. Rainier were incredible. I continued on past Little Bandera Peak to the proper peak of Bandera, (some bushwhacking involved, the trail is a little sketchy) and had lunch enjoying a million-dollar view of Mt. Rainier.
