Our Suffering Servant

“It was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrow that weighed him down…

He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.” Isaiah 53:4-6

God loves you so much, He sent His Son, Jesus, to do all of this for you.

Are there times you think you must somehow pay for your mistakes in order to be forgiven? You do not. Jesus freed you from that and God only asks for your love.

Gracious God, we thank you for Jesus, who turns our suffering into eternal joy. Help us to release our needless guilt so that we can live, knowing that we have eternal life in Jesus Christ. Amen
