Gasoline taxes have paid for road maintenance for about a hundred years. Thanks to recent things like COVID that kept people at home so they weren't buying gas, Joe Biden's gasoline price hike after he attacked our energy sector, and people buying fuel-efficient cars and electric vehicles, gas tax revenues have dropped.

In this country, the government always tells the people that they have to suffer to help A CAUSE. The government itself never suffers for anything. It never goes without. It takes from you. So, now they're going to tax you by the mile when you drive. You will have to get a little gizmo installed in your car so that they can monitor how many miles you drive. Will the gizmo also record WHERE you are driving?
