Not only is It one of the most unique RC Planes I have flown, it is also one of the more fun planes I have had an opportunity to fly.

I did a complete unboxing and review of with video along with the maiden flights, so if you missed that video, click here to see it:
https://youtu.be/kk5-3ROnMO8

Here are my Review Notes for it:

Cons:
- Bubbles under stickers
- Rudder was out of trim
- Wing screws are tiny and fragile

Pros:
- So much fun!!!
- Not very expensive
- The Whipit UMX has a pretty nice glide slope!

Some might ask me how it compares to the E-flite UMX Radian, but I am not sure I would have an answer for them since this is a completely different kind of RC Sailplane.

John and I had so much fun flying the Whip it that we took my E-flite UMX PT-17 out for some flights too. Yep, I was nice enough to let John fly both of my brand new planes on the same night. He does a lot for me, so I was happy to share with him to be honest, including doing a brief flight review with the Stearman that you will see in an upcoming video with the PT-17.

Here is what Horizon Hobby has to say about the Whipit:

The E-flite® UMX™ Whipit™ DLG is a sailplane that combines convenience and affordability so that the fun of pure flight is possible to enjoy regardless of experience level. Like the high-performance discus-launch gliders (DLG) popular in competition, this ultra micro aircraft features ultra-lightweight construction with carbon fiber for strength. But it’s also simple like that free flight chuck glider we played with as kids, only now we’ve made it radio controlled.

The wing is removable for easy storage and is reinforced for right or left handed launches. A protective pod cover on the nose easily reveals the simple two-channel Spektrum™ DSMX® control system and battery compartment. With just a single 150mAh 1S Li-Po battery you can expect long flight times either in your backyard, a local park or just about anywhere you want to harness the power of nature.

If you are still reading this, then you might be interested to know that Whippet UMX is what some people are calling this little beast. Why you ask? I have no idea! lol

For those of you wondering about what kind of jet that was flying over, that is an EA-18G Growler.

Here is some info on the plane:

The Boeing EA-18G Growler is an American carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft, a specialized version of the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet. The EA-18G will replace the Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowlers in service with the United States Navy. The Growler's electronic warfare capability is primarily provided by Northrop Grumman. The EA-18G began production in 2007 and entered operational service in late 2009.
