Wild Bill & His E-flite UMX A-10 Warthog EDF Jet RC Plane Crash
This is a flight adventure with GBLynden & Wild Bill with his custom E-flite UMX A-10 Warthog EDF Jet with an RC Plane Crash. He was attempting to get used to how it flies without the landing gear installed. As you can see, things got better at the flight(s) progressed.

This RC Jet is the only UMX Jet still available for sale from Horizon Hobby other than the recently re-released E-flite UMX MIG-15. The next step up from this would be the new E-flite F-15 Eagle. It has been out about as long as the E-flite UMX P-51 Mustang, which says a lot about the popularity of it. The E-flite Havoc Xe 80mm EDF Jet is also on my radar, though I likely won't get it right away, if I do.
Here is how E-flite describes it:
"Unlike stealth aircraft that take out enemies anonymously or from a distance, the A-10 Warthog is designed to get up close and personal with its targets. Its mere appearance over the battlefield is enough to send most enemy ground forces running for cover, especially if they've ever gotten a taste of its 30mm nose cannon - a weapon so powerful, it can shred through the armor of a tank with a single burst. This awesome firepower, combined with its ability to turn on a dime and stay on station while taking enormous amounts of damage, has made the A-10 America's premier close air support fighter for over 40 years.
With the E-flite UMX A10, you can finally enjoy an ultra micro RC replica of the mighty Warthog that does its legend justice. It perfectly blends scale detail with an abundance of power, crisp control response and AS3X stability to give you one of the most exciting EDF experiences of any size.
Twin 28mm Ducted Fans with Powerful 13,500Kv Brushless Motors
This remarkably efficient power system delivers exhilarating speed and climb performance as well as generous flight times of up to 5 -7 minutes when powered by the recommended 800mAh 2S flight battery (sold separately)."
Here is some history on this plane:
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single–seat, twin turbofan engine, straight wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force (USAF). Commonly referred to by its nicknames Warthog or Hog, its official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, a World War II fighter that was effective at attacking ground targets. The A-10 was designed for close-in support of ground troops, close air support (CAS), and providing quick-action support for troops against helicopters and ground forces. It entered service in 1976 and is the only production-built aircraft that has served in the USAF that was designed solely for CAS. Its secondary mission is to provide forward air controller – airborne (FAC-A) support, by directing other aircraft in attacks on ground targets. Aircraft used primarily in this role are designated OA-10.
The A-10 Warthog was intended to improve on the performance of the A-1 Skyraider and its poor firepower. The A-10 was designed around the 30mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon. Its airframe was designed for durability, with measures such as 1,200 pounds (540 kg) of titanium armor to protect the cockpit and aircraft systems, enabling it to absorb a significant amount of damage and continue flying. The A-10 served in Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Desert Storm, the American intervention against Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, where the A-10 distinguished itself. The A-10 also participated in other conflicts such as Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, and against ISIS in the Middle East.
