Man killed trying to stop burglary

DailyKenn.com — Emmanuel Gomez, 37, was fatally shot in Modesto, CA.

Arrested were 20-year-old Deshawn Austin and two 16-year-olds. Austin is suspected of being the shooter.

Reports say Gomez noticed a neighbor's vehicle being burglarized and called police.

According to police, the suspects fled on foot. Gomez followed them in his truck. The suspects fired resulting in the death of Gomez.

The victim is presumed to be Hispanic.
