Kherson Transportation Company workers killed in Russian shelling, Ukrainian officials say

At least two employees of a transportation utility company in southern Ukraine were killed and six others wounded on Friday, June 23, when Russian forces shelled the city of Kherson, the regional prosecutor’s office and governor said. A 55-year-old man died on the spot when the area was shelled on Friday, Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said. Medics were unable to save a 43-year-old, who also died at the scene, he added later. The regional prosecutor’s office said four other people were in hospital after the “targeted strike” that came around 10:20 am local time. The office said the Russians fired from territory in Kherson that they still controlled. Two other people, employees of a trolley bus company, received non-life-threatening injuries.
