Michael and Raven discuss why property taxes prevent you from ever actually owning your own home and how homeowners can proactively protest their own valuations and lower their tax bill. While the politicians continue to give lip service to providing meaningful property tax relief (in reality giving your own money back), scores of citizens have decided they are done waiting on the government for relief and are taking the battle directly to the appraisal districts which assign the home valuations from which tax bills are calculated. This growing grassroots movement is fighting back against higher taxes through education, advocacy, and action. Its success will make homeownership more affordable and will positively impact future elections and the long-term direction of our states and nation!
