Is Your Salvation Predestined by God?

The subject of predestination occurs only five places in the Bible. The Greek words used are: proorizo, to predetermine, decide beforehand, to foreordain; proginosko, to have knowledge beforehand to foreknow, to predestinate; — and prognosis, foreknowledge. What is predestination?

Two of the Scriptures in question are:

Romans 8, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called . . . .” (Romans 8:29-30)
