Patriots Behind The Mic #36 - Jon Herold

Jon Herold is a former Catholic School fundraiser who resides in the upper Midwest where he is raising his two children. Jon never considered himself very political, but after watching the events of the 2020 election unfold, he set out to make sense of how Trump could have possibly walked away from an obviously stolen election.

He stumbled across somebody on a small social media platform discussing a theory called “devolution.” The theory was intriguing, but there were far more questions than there were answers—so Jon started researching the theory himself. He posted some of his findings on the social media platform but found out that doing so put him at odds with the owner of the platform. So he decided to leave and turn his small social media posts into Substack articles.

In July of 2021, Jon published his first article in “The Devolution Series” using the pseudonym, “Patel Patriot.” Jon chose the pseudonym in homage to Kashyap Patel, his favorite among the many heroes discovered in Jon’s research to have played integral roles in Trump’s presidency.

“The Devolution Series” sparked Jon’s previously undiscovered love for researching, writing, and podcasting. The journey that followed led him to where he is today with the creation of Badlands Media.
