I recently purchased the Ugly Stik Bigwater Spinning Fishing Rod and I must say, this is an amazing rod. One thing that I really liked about this rod is that its an Ugly Stik.
I have always been a fan of this brand and this rod lived up to my expectations. Although I was a bit concerned about the guides without inserts, they ended up working just fine for me.
However, the length of the handle part of the rod is a bit too long for my taste. I already own about 6 of the 12 US versions, but had to settle for the 11 this time since the 12 was out of stock.
I also own 2 of the 10 versions which I find more comfortable to fight with as they fit into the crotch better. The 12 rod feels more like the 15 and I found myself wanting to tuck it under my arm after just a few minutes of use.
Despite that, I was blown away by the performance of this rod. I had to take some time to learn how to cast it since it was my first time using a rod of this caliber, but after some practice, it was a breeze.
The shipping took a bit longer than expected but the wait was definitely worth it. I must say that this rod is very robust and durable. I plan to use it for snagging and catching catfish and Im confident that it will get the job done.

If youre on a budget, you dont have to spend 300 bucks on a rod when you can get one that does the job just as well for 50-80 dollars.
