Rep. Schiff defends himself on House floor after censure vote

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) thanked Republicans for censuring him during an address to the chamber floor following the 213-209 vote. “To my Republican colleagues who introduced this resolution, I thank you. You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood,” said Rep. Schiff. The censure resolution alleges Rep. Schiff mislead Americans by pursuing a Congressional investigation into collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia. The measure also censures the Representative for actions he made as the Lead House Impeachment Manager during Trump’s first impeachment.
