@martykelly100 talks about advice that can help new homebuyers with the purchase of their first home.

Buying your first home is an exciting milestone. But if you want to start your journey to homeownership now, you’ll have to overcome some affordability challenges and a limited supply of homes for sale.
But you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help.

Here are two tips you can use to make your dream a reality.
First, look into first-time homebuyer programs.
If affordability feels like your biggest hurdle, know these programs can help with your down payment, closing costs, and more.
If you qualify, they’re available to help you get a loan without having to pay much money upfront.

Second, explore all housing types.
Since there aren’t a ton of homes for sale right now, it can feel hard to find a home that fits your needs. But, you can increase your options by considering condos and townhomes.
Your goal is finding your first home, not your forever home. The important thing is getting your foot in the door so you can start building equity, which can fuel a future move down the road.
