NASA Socal Chuckwalla Spec Miata SM 11-13-2022

NASA Spec Miata Race with NASA Socal Sunday November 13, 2022 at Chuckwalla Raceway in Desert Center California. NASA AZ crossover event. This was an eventful race. Started the race 1.6 points ahead of second place in points (Team MoneyShift Racing) in the NASA AZ Spec Miata Points. After a decent start, was holding what I had as the tires, mainly from the alignment, were falling off hard and the car would simply not turn left. Which is a little inconvenient on a counterclockwise direction track. The lack of a under tray (splash shield) was not helping the aero dynamics either. Bag of excuses aside, had a solid battle with Louis V who was having a great weekend and showing more speed than I could match. Then Sean from Team MoneyShift stalked until the last lap and pounced going down the back downhill stretch. I could not defend and then went dead stick right off the track trying to keep pace with him over the hill. I was then consumed by the next two cars who took better care of their equipment. Finished the race 1.4 point behind Team MoneyShift with one last race remaining in the 2022 NASA AZ Season.
