Have you ever attended a fish fry? Most people have gone to a local fish fry sometime in their life. Friday night fish fry dinners attrack lots of hungry diners in many American communities each week. Battered or breaded fish fillets are deep fried and served with potato pancakes, coleslaw, hushpuppies, and other side dishes.

Jesus liked fish fry dinners too. He attended many fish fry meals during His days on Earth. His last meal with the disciples was a fish-fry breakfast on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias. The resurrected Messiah fried fish on charcoal and served the fish to seven of His disciples, including fresh bread. His last meal on Earth was a fish fry. One of His first actions when He returns will be a fish fry too. Indeed, it will be the world’s biggest fish fry. You can read about it in my book Final Day: The 10 Characteristics of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I talk about it in Chapter 7: His Second Coming Shall be Fiery. You’ll find it starting on page 269 under the subtitle: The World’s Biggest Fish Fry.

Why am I talking on a Bible study show about frying fish? Because today’s parable is the Parable of the Net. Before we read the Parable of the Net, I would like Dr. Raymond Burkhart to read from the twenty-first chapter of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. John, verses 12-15.
