Rusty 1970's Tonka Jeep Tow Truck Restoration

Hey everyone and welcome back to another restoration. In today's video I am restoring a classic early 70's Tonka Jeep Tow Truck! The truck really wasn't terrible to begin with. Faded, rusty, but complete! The Windshield did have a few minor cracks but they weren't big enough to ruin the finished product. The biggest challenge I ran into were the wheels. These old solid plastic wheels are tough to separate without cracking the plastic. It is especially difficult to separate the rim from the tire. Because of this I decided to paint the wheels by hand to match the freshly powdered coated body. Hope you all enjoy!
