Saint Leutfridus, a remarkable but lesser-known saint, was born in the 7th century in France. He left his noble family to become a priest and founded Saint Leufroy Abbey. Despite facing persecution from lax bishops, he possessed the gifts of miracles and prophecy. Once, a woman mocked his baldness, and he warned her of a curse. As foretold, she and her descendants had no hair on the back of their heads. Another time, he cursed a land where peasants worked on Sunday, causing it to yield only weeds. Saint Leutfridus exemplified justice and mercy, as seen in his treatment of a monk who violated the vow of poverty. He ordered the monk to be buried outside the abbey but later fasted and prayed for his soul, discovering it had been released from Purgatory. He also displayed great fury against the Devil, confronting a monstrous animal form the Devil had taken in a chapel. By making the Sign of the Cross to seal the exits, he prevented the Devil from escaping, eventually driving it away. Saint Leutfridus teaches us to oppose liberalism, uphold the sanctity of Sundays, balance justice and mercy, and harbor a strong hatred for the Devil. Let us invoke his protection and imitate his virtues as Counter-Revolutionary Catholics.
