According to Express News, visas have been issued to the national team by India a day before the tournament, due to which Pakistan could not get any time for preparations. The national team will fly to Mumbai on a private flight at 5:20 pm while the green shirts will next travel to Bangalore.
SAFF Football Championship will start from tomorrow, Pakistan will play its first match in the event tomorrow on June 21 against traditional rivals India. The 14th SAFF Championship under the South Asian Football Federation is scheduled from June 21 to July 4 at the Srikanti Rewa Stadium.
On June 21, apart from Pakistan India, the teams of Nepal and Kuwait will compete against each other in the second match. The next day, Lebanon will play Bangladesh while Maldives will play Bhutan, Pakistan will play its second match against Kuwait on June 24 and Nepal on June 27. The semi-finals will be played on July 1 and the final on July 4.
