YVETTE CORKREAN: I am a mother of two teenage children and a registered nurse. We have lived in the Bay Area and San Francisco for 23 years. I have painfully watched San Francisco slowly deteriorate, developing a cancerous culture of non-accountability with the attitude, "I'm not responsible for my actions," allowing entitlement to grow and take over. After several years of frustration and not knowing how to slow or stop the physical and cultural rot, I could no longer sit back.
Every weekend in early 2020, I gathered signatures to recall Gavin Newsom. I became the San Francisco lead liaison for the Recall Gavin campaign. In January 2021, I joined the San Francisco Republican County Central Committee (SFGOP) and was elected to the executive Committee as Vice Chair of Volunteers. My accomplishments include the following:
• Led SFGOP volunteers to gather signatures and to get out the vote in the historic, successful recalls of progressive District Attorney Chesa Boudin AND three fanatic school board members.
• Revitalized the SFGOP precinct captain program, tripling volunteer participation.
• Grew the SFGOP election integrity team, activating new volunteers from across the political spectrum, of which this was the first time many had ever engaged in politics outside of voting.
• Co-hosted a fundraiser for Kevin Kiley, now US Congressman, CD-3, one of the 12 Republicans out of 52 US Assembly people representing California.
• Improved voter turn-out over four elections with robust volunteer phone and text banking and social events.
• Recruited new SFGOP committee members, officers, and public participants in SFGOP monthly meetings.
• Gained state delegates for SFGOP.
As a registered nurse of 23 years, I believe medical freedom is crucial to our existence as a Republic. From the beginning of the ill-fated government response, I spoke fearlessly against the planned COVID-19 operation. I spoke for silenced workers at risk of losing their jobs; our city employees, first responders, and frontline staff - at four medical freedom rallies in San Francisco, Santa Cruz and the State Capitol. I am not anti-vaccination; I am anti-mandate. I believe public health policy should be based on objective clinical research and a patient's right to informed consent.
I have children going through this increasingly partisan school system that is trying to indoctrinate our children into a group-think political ideology that is not rooted in fact. Our children are young, innocent, and defenseless, and they are trying to figure out who they are and do not need to be indoctrinated. They need to be taught how to think, not what to think. The San Francisco Bay Area is ground zero for social justice warriors determined to capture our children into a polluted, socialist ideology that cares more about emotions than facts. I will stand in the gap and push back on this indoctrination and preserve our conservative values of God, Family and Country for future generations.
