Pennsylvania officials give update on progress to rebuild I-95 after collapse - June 20, 2023

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll held a press conference Tuesday to provide an update on the progress toward reopening Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. “Traffic will be flowing here on 95 this weekend,” Shapiro announced. Crews have been working to reopen I-95 with temporary lanes after a section of the highway collapsed earlier this month due to a tanker fire.
