Welcome to the Jacob the Analyst YouTube channel! Get ready to experience some high-energy discussions about the world of track and field.

In this video, we are going to talk about the four X 200 relay and the potential lineup for the US team. We'll take a look back at the last international event in 2019, where the US team finished third, behind France and China.

But before we get into that, let's talk about some of the recent events in the track and field world. Americans have been performing exceptionally well, with impressive times and strong finishes. Massive Jamaicans are also making their mark, but their baton exchanges have been sloppy.

Now, let's fast forward to the end. France, from lane nine, will win the relay, with the US finishing strongly but falling short. Why haven't we had this conversation before? We've been overly focused on the 100 meters and four by 100, but we have yet to talk about the four X 200.

In 2019, the US team included Cairo, Jefferson, Shania Collins, Gabby Thomas, and Jenna Prandini, but due to politics, the US sent a different team in 2021. So, let's take a field trip back to 2019 and discuss the possibilities based on what we're seeing on the track now.

My lineup for the US team would be Gabby Thomas on the first leg, Abby Steiner on the second leg, Jenna Prandini on the third leg, and Tamari Davis on the anchor leg. Let's dive into why.

Gabby Thomas has been clocking impressive times, including a season's best of 22.21 seconds in the 200 meters and 49.68 seconds in the 400 meters. Her ability to get out of the blocks quickly makes her an ideal choice for the first leg.

Abby Steiner has been shining on the second leg and has the third-fastest time in the world this year with a 22.23 in the 200 meters. She also broke the indoor 300 meters record at the Merrill's Games.

Jenna Prandini has experience in the four X 200 from 2019 and has performed well in the four X 100 and four X 400 this year. Her chemistry with Abby Steiner makes for a flawless baton exchange.

Tamari Davis is having a phenomenal year and has a bright future ahead of her. She has already blown the competition out of the park in the 100 meters and 200 meters this season.

But the four X 200 relay is not forgiving, and a smooth baton exchange is crucial. The Jamaicans have been struggling with their exchanges, while France and China have been successful. The US team will need to focus on both endurance and speed to have a chance at winning.

Let us know in the comments what you think about our US team lineup and who you would include in your ideal lineup. Do you think the fastest athletes should be in the relay, or should endurance be emphasized more? We want to hear from you!

Thanks for tuning in to our energetic discussion about the world of track and field. Have a great day!
