Lead U Leads the Youth | Fireside America Ep. 22 | JD Wilson and Kelly Coulson

JD Wilson and Kelly Coulson are founding members of Lead U, a positive group of teaching artists who creatively engage, educate, and empower learners of all ages to find the leaders within themselves.

After serving overseas in the United States Air Force from 2006-2010, JD became an elementary school teacher here in New Jersey before deciding to step back from the classroom and build Lead U in 2016.

Collaborating with aspiring, current, and former educators Kelly Coulson, Connor Effenberger and Joan Fraclose, Lead U has evolved from a grassroots summer leadership camp to a well established name in empowerment and education.

The Lead U Crew comprises of a group of over 40 trained teaching artists who travel the country to deliver Personalized Empowerment Experiences for students, school staffs, sports teams, and business corporations.

Lead U was acquired by the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide on September 1, 2021.
