BMW F30 vs E90 Reliability - 3 Series

Which is more reliable? The BMW F30 or the BMW E90 3 series? The F30 is the latest 3 series from BMW, while the E90 is a bit of an older 3 series car.

There are a number of different models, E90, E91, E92, and you can get all the different 300 level models. How do we sort through the reliability discussion? On the other side, the new F30 series has a big variance in terms of reliability. There's a number of different cars here as well, but the F30 can be a great car. The n55 is a great engine and is now a relatively reliable BMW engine. From there, the b58 came out and is now in Toyota and Lexus cars.

The more recent cars have a different engine, the n20. The n20 has a few issues that I let you know about, and how to avoid these issues.
